2. What is Computer?

Computer is an electronic device which stores data and provides useful information in a particular order.

कम्प्यूटर एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक यंत्र है जो हमारे द्वारा भेजे गए डाटा को संग्रह करके सही क्रम में सूचना प्रदान करता है।

3. Classification of Computer

कम्प्यूटर को दो भागों में बांटा गया है:

(A) Data being supplied के आधार पर

1. Analog Computer – जो लगातार डेटा पर काम करता है। उदाहरण: अस्पताल में उपयोग
2. Hybrid Computer – जो continuous और discontinuous दोनों डेटा पर काम करता है। उदाहरण: एयरोड्रम
3. Digital Computer – जो digits (0,1) पर काम करता है।

(B) CPU Speed और Memory के आधार पर

• Micro Computer
• Mini Computer
• Mainframe Computer
• Super Computer

Charles Babbage को कम्प्यूटर का जनक कहा जाता है।

Parts of Computer

Monitor

Monitor एक output device है जिससे हमें visual information मिलती है।

Mouse

Mouse एक input device है जिसमें right, left और scroll button होते हैं।

Keyboard

Keyboard input device है जिसमें लगभग 107 keys होती हैं।

UPS

UPS का पूरा नाम Uninterruptible Power Supply है जो power backup देता है।

CPU

CPU (Central Processing Unit) को कम्प्यूटर का दिमाग कहा जाता है।

RAM

RAM volatile memory होती है। Power बंद होते ही data delete हो जाता है।

ROM

ROM non-volatile memory होती है। Data सुरक्षित रहता है।

Hard Disk

Hard disk secondary storage device होती है।

Difference between Electronics & Electrical

Electronics: DC current से चलने वाले device

Electrical: AC current से चलने वाले device

Data and Information

Data: जो हम computer को input देते हैं।

Information: जो output के रूप में प्राप्त होती है।
